Our Story
Oklahoma Smoke BBQ started before we ever had a restaurant, a dining room, or our name on a building.
After transitioning out of military service, life looks a little different, and BBQ became a way to reconnect with people, with community, and with a sense of purpose. The first real spark came right here in Moore, Oklahoma, where we built a small BBQ setup at a local bar with a friend and started serving food.
It wasn’t supposed to become what it is today.
But people kept showing up.
What began with a simple smoker and a love for bringing people together quickly grew into meal prep, catering, community events, auctions, and crowds gathering wherever Oklahoma Smoke happened to be cooking. Eventually, it became clear that this was bigger than a side project. We needed a permanent home where we could share the food, the experience, and the sense of community that started it all.
That home became Oklahoma Smoke BBQ.
The Craft & Tradition
We believe real BBQ takes time.
Our pits run on real wood, and our meats are smoked low and slow for hours not rushed, not reheated, and not produced on an assembly line. Our pit crew starts long before the doors open, tending fires and preparing the food that will be served throughout the day.
Nearly everything we serve is made from scratch, with recipes inspired by family, tradition, and years spent perfecting our craft. That includes Great-Great-Grandma’s banana pudding, our award-winning smoked wings served every Wednesday, and the BBQ that has made Oklahoma Smoke a gathering place for people from across the community
And we don’t hide the process.
When you walk into Oklahoma Smoke, you can see the pits, smell the wood smoke, and watch the work that goes into the food on your plate.
Because around here, BBQ isn’t just something we serve.
It’s what brought us together in the first place.
